On April 3rd, 2017, Coral Gables High School delivered 50 individual boxes consisting of hygiene products, snacks, and encouraging notes for our returning citizens. This kind gesture came about when students were asked by their high school teacher to come up with a project that would touch someone that they do not know. Two 12th grade students came up with the idea to give back to those who have been incarcerated. They researched residential reentry facilities online and found Riverside House. The students then encouraged everyone in their class to create a shoe box of items with a special encouraging note in the box. Over 100 generous students donated and put together the boxes to deliver to the Chaplains at Riverside House. Thank you, Coral Gables High School students!
