Riverside has helped me in my transition and helped to guide me in many situations. Long story short, when I was released from Riverside House, I relocated to North Carolina. I found a job and things were going well. But I always wanted to have my own place and I knew I needed a change. I contacted Riverside House about programs in Miami because I wanted to come back. While back in Miami I secured a job and my own place. Now, I can begin this new chapter in my life. On May 31, 2020 I will be finished with my probation and I will be welcoming a new son or daughter the following month. I am forever grateful for the support Riverside House has given me. I know my past experiences will not affect this new role of being a father.
