On April 20th, Riverside House had the opportunity to partner with Miami Vineyard Church and to participate (as one of the twelve employer vendors present) in the Nationwide Day of Second Chances Job Fair. This specific job fair event is hosted by churches across America simultaneously as an effort to serve their communities. Individuals with employment barriers experienced the ease of access to second-chance employers and various job opportunities, as well as free one-on-one job coaching. Riverside House employees Andrea Prada, Executive Assistant to Mr. Bell, Carmen Bell, Community and Donor Relations Coordinator, and CEO, Mr. Bell attended the event and obtained some prospective job applicants for our facility’s resident monitors. Our team also enjoyed connecting and networking with other local employer vendors such as Leap for Ladies, Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, and Ladies Learning to Lead.
