Operation Summer Relief 2024 Launched to Help Miami’s Homeless Population

By August 16, 2024 No Comments

On July 29th, we were honored to join Daphne Saba, representing the City of Miami Beach and the Office of the Mayor and Commission, during her press conference announcing the launch of Operation Summer Relief.

During this month-long initiative, Riverside House, alongside other partners, will work together to encourage the city’s homeless population to take advantage of available programs and services, including access to shelters, regular meals, and treatment options for mental illness or substance abuse.

Our Chief Operating Officer, David McSherry, joined other community partners at this press conference, including Camillus House, Lazarus Project, Lotus House, Miami Rescue Mission, Mount Sinai Medical Center, New Hope C.O.R.P.S., and the Salvation Army, to help make this initiative possible.

We look forward to making a difference in the lives of our local community. To make an in-kind donation, please contact Michelle Taylor at mjenkins@riverside-house.org or call us at (786) 418-9652.
