We would like to extend a very warm welcome to Mark Riley, our new Pastoral Care volunteer. Mark, an Associate Minister at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of our Board Member, Pastor Gaston Smith, is bringing his heart for service and ministry to Riverside House. In his recent interview with our Coordinator Carmen Bell, Mark shared his journey from hearing about Riverside House to taking the leap of faith to volunteer with us. With a deep passion for prison ministry and the “ministry of presence,” Mark is committed to supporting our residents both spiritually and emotionally. His story reminds us that everyone deserves a chance to rewrite their narrative and that genuine care can make all the difference.
