We've Got Answers
Frequently asked questions
and answers
We provide clear, straightforward answers to help individuals, families, and partners understand our programs, services, data, and outcomes.
Our 95% success rate represents graduates who do not return to prison, tracked over our organizational history since 1973. This outcome is monitored through ongoing coordination with federal partners, regular alumni check-ins, and verification through available public records. Success rates are calculated based on participants who complete the full program and maintain community stability.
Our data tracking system captures all participants served through our residential reentry and emergency shelter programs. The specific time frames and totals are updated regularly as we continue serving returning citizens and individuals experiencing homelessness throughout Miami-Dade County.
Program completion means a resident fulfilled all requirements of their individualized reentry plan, met federal supervision expectations, and transitioned out of the program in good standing with next steps in place. This includes securing employment or approved activities, establishing housing plans, and demonstrating readiness for independent living.
Our employment graduation rate tracks residents who had verified employment at the time of program completion or transition. Employment is verified through paystubs, direct employer contact, and ongoing employment accountability checks conducted by case management staff in coordination with federal supervision requirements.
Through Riverside Reentry 2.0 and our alumni aftercare programming, we maintain regular contact with graduates via phone check-ins, day reporting center visits, support group attendance, and ongoing case manager follow-up. This sustained engagement helps ensure long-term stability during the critical post-release period when recidivism risk is highest.
Yes. Our outcomes and operations undergo rigorous oversight including federal Bureau of Prisons contract compliance reviews, Residential Reentry Management (RRM) Miami monitoring, annual independent financial audits, and IRS Form 990 reporting requirements. This multi-layered accountability ensures data accuracy and program quality.
