Men’s Up Ministry: Strengthening Faith Through Reentry

Riverside House recently welcomed Mr. Cloyd Holmes, founder of Men’s Up Ministry, to share his vision of providing spiritual support and guidance to individuals returning to the community after incarceration.

Through his ministry, Mr. Holmes walks alongside men as they navigate the challenges of reentry, offering encouragement rooted in faith and a space to grow spiritually. His work centers on creating consistent, supportive environments where individuals can reflect, rebuild, and strengthen their relationship with God.

Mr. Holmes currently leads Bible study groups at two other reentry centers and expressed his enthusiasm about bringing a similar opportunity to Riverside House. His passion for this work was evident as he spoke about the importance of having spaces where men can come together, share openly, and find direction through faith.

Moments like these remind us of the impact that spiritual guidance can have during the reentry journey. Having someone who is willing to show up, listen, and lead with purpose can make a meaningful difference in how individuals move forward.

At Riverside House, we are grateful for leaders like Mr. Holmes who are committed to walking alongside others and creating opportunities for growth, reflection, and renewed purpose.
