Riverside House Attends 4th Annual Re-Entry & Outreach Breakfast

Riverside House was honored to attend the 4th Annual Re-Entry & Outreach Breakfast hosted by the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department, an event dedicated to recognizing the individuals and organizations working to support successful reentry and community restoration.

The breakfast brought together community partners, service providers, advocates, and leaders who share a common goal: helping returning citizens rebuild their lives and successfully reintegrate into their communities. Events like these highlight the importance of collaboration and demonstrate the impact that can be achieved when organizations work together to create pathways toward stability, opportunity, and long-term success.

Throughout the event, attendees had the opportunity to connect with fellow community leaders, celebrate achievements within the reentry community, and recognize those whose dedication continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

This year’s award recipients included:

  • Volunteer of the Year: Lorian Daniel, Circle of Brotherhood
  • Director’s Impact Award: Mahlia Lindquist, Esq., Ladies Empowerment and Action Program
  • Outreach Officer of the Year: Tangela Wagstaff, Correctional Officer, Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department
  • Organization of the Year: Circle of Brotherhood

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all of the honorees. Their commitment to service, advocacy, and community outreach continues to create positive change and inspire others throughout Miami-Dade County.

At Riverside House, we believe that successful reentry is made possible through strong partnerships, compassionate support systems, and a shared commitment to second chances. We are grateful to stand alongside so many organizations and individuals who are helping people overcome barriers, discover new opportunities, and reach their God-given potential.

We thank the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department for hosting this important event and for their continued dedication to strengthening reentry efforts throughout our community. Together, we can continue creating opportunities for hope, restoration, and lasting transformation.
